Collecting vintage picture postcards is one of the most popular collectibles hobbies in the world. Many are miniature works of art, and they have a very wide appeal. People collect postcards for a variety of reasons - but one of the most popular is so that they can remember and reminisce about places that they've been to. Other people are topical or thematic collectors. In addition, collectors of various types of memorabilia and ephemera, as well as historians, museums, and others, diligently seek specific postcards or types of postcards.
